Author Guidelines
Information for authors
- Articles submitted to the journal must be complete scientific research and contain new scientific results.
- Articles describing engineering and technical solutions, calculations for specific objects, performed using known methods and techniques, and lacking scientific novelty, will not be published in a scientific and theoretical journal.
- Articles by graduate students are published only in co-authorship with their scientific supervisor.
- Articles with materials that have been previously published or submitted for publication in other publications are not accepted by the editorial board.
- Articles with gross grammatical and spelling errors and other violations of the rules of the Russian language will not be considered.
- The structure of the article must contain the following main sections: introduction, materials and methods of research, research results, conclusions.
- The article should be submitted in electronic form in doc or docx format (A4 sheet format with 1.5 line spacing (Times New Roman font, 14 pt; margins: top and bottom – 20, left – 30, right – 10 mm). The article should be 10–16 pages long.
- The text of the article should contain:
- UDC;
- information about the authors in Russian and English: surname, first name, and patronymic of each author, place of work/study, city, country, academic degree, title, position;
- abstract (200–250 words) and keywords (5–7 words and phrases) in Russian and English;
- bibliography in Russian and English.
- The bibliography should be compiled in the order in which the sources are cited in the text and should be included at the end of the manuscript. The list should contain at least 10 sources, of which no more than 30% should be the author's own articles.
- References to sources used in the text should be enclosed in square brackets as follows: [3, p. 252] or [3].
- Graphic material should be created using graphic editors that support vector and raster graphics. Illustrations should be clear, all captions in the figure should be legible and have a description. If the text contains a photograph or scanned image, they must also be submitted as a separate file in the original graphic format (e.g., jpeg, tiff).
- Tables should have meaningful titles. All abbreviations or symbols should be explained in the notes to the tables. If there are several tables (figures), they should be numbered. References to tables and figures should be provided in the text.
- If artificial intelligence (AI – see GOST R 71657-2024) methods were used in conducting research and preparing the article, this must be indicated in the abstract of the article, specifying: what methods and tools were used, at what stage, and to obtain what results.
- When using non-standard AI tools, their authorship should be indicated.
- The use of AI for collecting and processing information and visualizing data is permitted.
- The use of AI for text generation is not permitted.
The following materials should be submitted to the editorial office of the STU Bulletin:
- Article (Sample article format)
- Application form completed for each author of the article, with their personal signature (Application form)
- Original expert opinion on the possibility of publishing the article. (Opinion on the possibility of open publication) (Sample expert opinion form)
Articles (in electronic form in doc or docx format), applications (in electronic form in doc or docx format, as well as in scanned form), and expert opinions (in scanned form) should be sent to: vestnik.stu@yandex.ru or vestniksgups@sibgups.ru
The file with the text of the article should be named after the author's surname (for example: Ivanov.doc).
The expert opinion (original) must be sent by mail to the following address:
630049, Novosibirsk, Dusya Kovalchuk Street, 191, SSUPS, editorial office of the STU Bulletin or leave it at the records department (room 117) in the “Vestnik STU” box.
The editorial office reserves the right to make corrections to the text of the article. Authors will not be provided with a proof copy of the article.
Publication of articles in the journal is free of charge. Authors are not paid for published articles.
The editorial office will only consider materials from authors that fully comply with the above requirements. Articles that do not meet the requirements will be returned to the authors for revision.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
Internet links are provided as a complete URL.
Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text (and not at the end of the document).
Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in Regulations located in the Part "About Us."
Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Privacy Statement
Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
